It's Alive!

Well, last night I fired up the 440 in the 65 Truck for the first time, and it sounds good. Idles smooth, good oil pressure, no leaks, etc. Now I need to get a decent radiator, locate a driveshaft, make a trans crossmember, get some insurance and plates, and I'll be styling. I just hope the truck is not faster my Challenger. Boy would that suck.

1987 Shelby GLHS

I owned this car a few years back. It was a fun little car, but was prone to breaking parts, and didn't hook up at the track. The best time I could get out of it was a 15.8. I guess that would qualify it as a Slow Mopar.

Proof of My Mopar Slowness

This is a video clip of my car at the 2002 Mopar Nationals, running a blistering mid-14 second ET. The car has a 400 Big Block, 727, and 3.23 gears. In my defense it was very hot (95 and humid), and I drove the car from NY to Ohio, which was about a 12 hour drive.

1965 Dodge D-100 Pickup

Here is my latest project, a 1965 Dodge Pickup truck. This one is so slow that it needs to be pushed to move at all. Currently undergoing a swap from Slant 6 power to 440 power, it is sure to be a dissapointment when it finally moves under it's own power. Add to that the ugliness factor, and I think I've got a winner!

1974 Dodge Challenger

Here is the car that inspired this Blog, my 1974 Challenger. Powered by a 400 smog engine, backed up by a 727 Automatic, and 3.23 gears in the rear.
